There's no great secret to finding the images, it's just a simple google trick that will search for websites that have open directories that anyone can browse.

From there i tweak and add more specific terms to get different results. A really good google "hack" i recently discovered is including before:{year} in the search terms to only get results prior to that year. This filters out loads of more recent rubbish that generally isn't very interesting. It's also really useful for more general googling and can help strip out SEO & AI nonsense that has pretty much ruined google as a search engine.

I don't share the actual source directories, partly because i don't really keep track of them once they've been plundered, and also because sometimes you find personal information that shouldn't really be for public consumption.

Now that I think about it, how did a state that offers so much sunshine and terrific produce end up with a whole armadaof s—t Democrats, including Adam Schiff, Nancy “once we all die in a rejuvenated smallpox epidemic, the House will be ours again!” Pelosi and Alex Padilla, who thought that a sternly worded letter to a Trump mole would end the administration’s desecration of our national parks. And don’t forget about Dianne Feinstein! Yes, I know that Feinstein is dead. No, that doesn’t excuse her. Stupid, dead Feinstein. I bet she’s lecturing children in hell because they dared to ask for a table fan.

And if you think that my party has more to offer on the opposite coast, may I introduce you to New York Democrats? Oh look, it’s Little Mister Punching Bag, Chuck Schumer! A Palestinian American resident of this man’s state was just kidnapped by ICE and remanded to Kafka State Prison down south without cause, and Chuck’s first instinct was to essentially say, “Now we all know this young man is brown, which means he hates the Jews.” Totally. Way to see the REAL story going on here, you empty tin of pomade. And somehow Chuck has even greater moral fortitude than Eric Adams, who probably couldn’t commit murder without accidentally leaving his Turkish passport in the victim’s hand. 

I can’t believe how useless most of these Democrats have proven in the fight to preserve something, anything, functional in this backwater of a country. Oh, do you want me to give the RBG girlboss treatment to Sonia Sotomayor, who skipped out on retiring while Biden was in office because she just loves writing terse dissents? What about Hakeem “Next Pelosi” Jeffries? Will he bamboozle the opposition with his fearsome repertoire of debate club hand gestures? Judging by those signs from the other night, I’m thinking no. No as all f—k. 

I don’t expect you geniuses in charge of my party to listen to my plea, but I’ve been shouting into the wind for decades now so I may as well do it one final time. Democrats need to give voters like me a reason to care. Our current president is an asshole, but he sure knows how to get people to care one way or the other. Part of that success has been from brute force political messaging. Part of it is from the voraciousness of capitalism mutating this country into a place where everyone is told they’re equal but no one WANTS to be equal. When Donald Trump runs on a platform that boils down to F—K OTHER PEOPLE, tens of millions of Americans eat it up because they’ve been conditioned to hate other people: their boss, their movie stars, that guy that cut them off on the drive to work, everyone. 

I don’t know how we solve this problem, but actually WANTINGto solve it is a good first step. I see little evidence right now that Democrats — especially you, Gavin — have that desire. I’ll still vote in every election out of obligation, but how many others will just stop doing it entirely now that you’ve failed them so consistently? I have a hard time trusting a bunch of people who couldn’t even think to start up an ASSHOLE chant on the House floor during Trump’s speech last week. I’m wagering that younger generations are even more disaffected. Those people will be lost forever unless you f—kers finally understand what’s happening outside your office window. 

And if you don’t get your s—t together now, I’ll know it’s because you don’t want to. I’ll know that you never cared about democracy. That you never cared about fixing the Constitution that’s currently sitting at the bottom of Sam Alito’s toilet. I currently have my latest blogpost for my website displayed on my front page. If you click on the title, it will take you to the post. I essentially grab the Title, which is a class of h1, and the article, using javascript, and then replace it. However, right now, this is done by manually replacing the href of the javascript. This works; I just create a post, copy the link, and paste it into the script in my home page.

Problem; I am already maintaining my rss feed manually. Why should I do *this* manually? I kind of want to not do either manually.

Solution: Javascript can be used to parse a xml doc. This includes rss feeds. I can simply make a script that, when you load up the webpage, it will request the most recent version of the .xml file associated with my file, then find the one with the most recent pubDate, it will then grab the link from that, and use my existing script to display it on my homepage.

As for updating my rss feed? I may need to create a php script for that. I just need two forms, and a submit button. One will take a link, and the other would be the password. So, I create a new blogpost, upload it, and then copy the link into the form. The password field will be used to create a cryptographic hash, and if it matches the provided one, then it will create a timestamp, and add the item, complete with links, to the html file. I could add in a hidden description to the blogpost, and the script can rip the description from there. Its pretty simple, and I wouldn't trust this authentication process... except that it is extremely limited in scope. All it does is accept a link already part of my blog, and updates an xml document - one I regularly back-up.

I also want to make a script that would get the previous and next posts on the blog, based on the info already in the xml document, rather than manually updating the existing blogposts. It doesn't take long, but it would be one less thing I have to worry about. I just have to match the current link to one in the xml file, get the timestamp, and find the item with the previous and next timestamp, then inject the links into the previous/next buttons. I can use a span element that will be updated to show up once a new document is found by the script.

If I was making one that actually allowed you to write a blogpost - complete with html - then I would want better security - like some form of 2 factor authentication. My authentication script would work. I would also want it limited to posting based on the time (like 1 post per x minutes). I may actually do that later. It would be nice to just go to my site, use my passkey+password authenticator, and then just post to my blog. It would have a form for the title, short description, and the main post. Then, it takes that info, and essentially pastes it into a provided template.

I could also make a similar system for the site-updates and little blurb on the top. Currently, I just edit the html for that. But I could also make an xml document, and just have the posts contained in items like an rss feed, then have the javascript read from there. Use a php script to add new entries to it. They could even be in the same file, just have to use two different elements.

Finally, on the main page, you can click on the title of the blog post to link there. This is done via script, so there is no mouseover indication that you can do this. I want to make the title element change a bit when you mouseover it - perhaps make it a little paler on mouseover?

I remember a viral video that was (non-seriously) posting the benefits for having various mental illnesses, and the one the guy gave for anorexia was "saving money." now I know he wasn't being serious, but come on man 🙄 sure you might initially save money from like, not buying enough groceries I guess?? but that assumes that you don't ever binge and that later on you don't end up in therapy, in treatment, or in the goddamn hospital.

my last ed day program (php for those who know what that is) had the low, low rate of $1400/day, and I had to pay $50/day out of pocket for housing on top of that. I'm gonna lowball this total because residential costs even more and I was in res for part of my treatment stay, and I'm not including extras like labs, but going with $1450/day for three months (let's say 90 days) is over $130,000. that was also my fifth time in treatment-- with keeping the same $1450 rate for simplicity, we're coming in at just over $650k for all five stays, and don't even get me started on lost wages from missing work for treatment. thank god I have good insurance 😭

oh, and bear in mind that this number does not include any outpatient services (therapy, dietitian appts, psychiatrists, meds, primary care, intensive outpatient programs that are often recommended as aftercare upon discharge, etc) or hospital stays (of which I haven't had so I don't have available data). that being said, even if you go the "cheap" route of, say, a once weekly session with a therapist and a dietitian, that's ~$300 a week for both. yearly that'll run you $15,000, and I have met approximately zero(0) people who are fully recovered after just one year.

but yeah, you save soooo much money by starving yourself :)

SysNotes devlog 3 - Ability to create a new profile

Welcome back to my SysNotes update! SysNotes is a system management app for people with DID, OSDD, and those who are otherwise plural.

(I will keep the intro text the same in all devlogs for context)

This devlog will be shorter than usual because I didn't want to lump it in with the next feature, which I expect will be quite long. In this devlog, I will add a way to create a new profile.

Quick Refactor before we jump in

"So I did some refactoring off-camera..." - originally, everything on the page was happening inside one component. I decided to split it up into the main page and the profile section, which is a new separate component. This will keep my code shorter and easier to maintain.

I also added a way to refer to each profile individually by their ID in the URL:

I was also storing profile data as separate variables, which would be inconvenient to individually pass into the new main profile component. So I moved them all into one variable:

Design of the New Profile form

To be honest, I've been dreading this part since the beginning. I mean, how do I even lay this out? 💀

It is common for developers to avoid UI design because they are "coders not designers". I, for one, quite enjoy web design. Still, this task feels quite overwhelming to me. So, let's take this little mockup I made and turn it into something usable 💪

Too much stuff?

I think the biggest challenge here is the sheer number of inputs. And as the app grows, the number of inputs in this form will only increase.

The only mandatory input for a new profile is just their name. Therefore, the first step should be separating the Name field from the rest of the inputs.

The new and improved New Profile form is looking much better now:

You are unlikely to know everything about an alter that has just split, so all those fields are completely unnecessary for an alter to be added to the list. Every other detail can be added later through the edit mode, where each field can be edited separately without needing one giant form.

Another big reason why I decided to forego the big form altogether is that the code for saving a new profile and the code for editing a profile would be almost exactly the same (including validation), and it wouldn't make sense to duplicate this code if I can just use it in one instance.

Saving a new profile

Let's add some validation to the input field to make sure that the user enters the name in a correct format.

As the Name is stored in the database as a string, it has the maximum length of 255 characters. Trying to save a longer name than this will cause errors, so we need to validate the input to make sure it's safe to insert into the database:

By the way, these flash messages are added in 2 ways: the success is a session message, and the error is an error stored separately by the validator. The flash messages originally have no styling, so I defined those myself using Tailwind's "@apply" for efficiency.

Once submitted, the name list automatically updates with our new profile:

This is because the code tries to access Jenny's status, but she doesn't have one yet, she only has a name!

(When I pull the data from the database, I'm trying to access a non-existent value)

(And when I display the values I got from the database, the display may break if the value is NULL)

(This error applies to all profile fields, not just status, however the app crashes after just the first error it comes across so the remaining errors are not shown)

This can easily fixed by using PHP's "isset()" and/or "empty()" function, which checks if a variable has a value:

(I'm using a ternary operator as a more compact alternative to if-else. it basically goes: "if this condition is true ? then do it : if not, do something else")

(And here I just check if these values are not blank before rendering them)

Now, we just have to populate this profile with data about Jenny, and to do that we'll need to be able to edit each field. I will work on this in the next devlog, as I expect this to take quite some time.

Man every time i think about how chowchow was abandoned it makes me want to cry like.

My brothers were so resentful of him too when he was in the kitchen they would complain about him pooping everywhere and that he had food aggression. But that food aggression went away once I started taking care of him. And I had to tell them, no, he wasn’t bad. He just needed a little love.

But I feel like chowchow was made to be this pariah of sorts, like an inconvenience to my sibling and honestly in the family. I was too focused on my own pets to give chowchow my attention, but once I did look at him that day everything changed because how can you look at a sight like that and not want to help? I don’t fucking understand.

Like yeah, you need to confront your emotions. That day i was fucking inconsolable. So many emotions I had a severe breakdown. It brought up my feelings of trauma as a neglect survivor myself, as im sure my siblings also have triggers of neglect. Chowchow is a very “Confronting” topic in this household. People displace onto him and I can understand why. We all grew up with immense fucking trauma and our relationships are soaked in it, including our relationships with chowchow. But it is OUR responsibility to confront that because he is a fucking BABY.

Ive been doing everything i can to get my family involved with him, but as things settle down and me and him get used to our routine together, i feel like he is kind of out of sight out of mind to them. Now, my family is not nearly as triggered when I pick chowchow up and ask them if they want to let chowchow sniff them. Which is good.

But chowchow genuinely has such high needs and I cant meet them alone AND work 9 to 5. I have been considering doing php/iop before i start working, honestly. My mental health is in the fucking gutter and I think I need it, honestly. But who will take care of him while I’m gone? PERMANENT FENCE- FUNDRAISING FOR THE MONTEVIDEO DOGS

On February 21, 2025, we launched a fundraising campaign for the spaying and neutering of the Montevideo Dogs, through which we successfully had Webber and Enver neutered. However, we are currently facing a more urgent situation that must be prioritized, so we will be temporarily halting this effort—especially since Lily’s twin puppies are still too young to be neutered 💛

What we’re about to do feels like a shot in the dark. This wasn’t part of our original plan, and we weren’t planning to bring it up to you yet, as Sir Ken was aiming to have this done by October 2025 after saving up for it. But due to unexpected circumstances, we now need your help.

Last Monday, May 12, 2025, the fence at Sir Ken’s home—where Webber and Bella live and where Lily’s twin puppies, Enver, and our new rescue Wolfie will also be staying—finally collapsed.

That’s why we’re once again reaching out to ask for your help to build a concrete fence around the area where the Montevideo Dogs live, to ensure their safety and prevent them from wandering into the streets. Sir Ken can no longer bear the thought of one of them getting hurt or going missing again.

This fence will be PERMANENT—long-lasting and for life—because the property belongs to Sir Ken’s family, and it will be the permanent home of the Montevideo Dogs.

Post Human Studies: The Unreal State

This week, students, we return to the concept of Post Human Polities - PHP - as opposed to Post Human Species - PHS - as established in our previous lecture on the Progress Cult. As loathe as I am to bring up the maniacs behind the Progress Cult, if you can all forgive my editorializing, today's lecture deals with one of their successor PHPs, the Unreal State. The Unreal State most likely has deep ties to the social thought behind the Progress Cult which was Anarchoacademic Liberism.

For reasons you will come to understand, I hope, most of today's statements regarding the Unreal State must be coached in uncertainties. First however, let us discuss and attempt if not to define than circle a definition for Anarchoacademic Liberism. Anarchoacademic Liberism is an attempt at a revival of old Earthen ideologies of futurism and anarchism as understood by the Provost Major of the Progress Cult. To his understanding, anarchism was simply abolishing any and all social taboos and understandings as well as abolition of most state functions and futurism was putting ultimate faith in any and all new emergent technologies regardless of ethics behind them. As a student of Earthen and Human philosophies and ideologies, I must question where the Provost Major gained his understanding. The Provost Major thusly structured what remained of the Progress Cults state apparatus after various academic institutions supposing they would be best at encouraging the acquisition of information.

After the Applied Military Theories and the dissolution of the Progress Cult's holdings following the Provost Major's death, one of the break away polities was the Unreal State. The Unreal State was like many other successors to the Progress Cult, charismatic leaders putting their own spin on Anarchoacademic Liberism. However, the Unreal State took it one step forward, and began an assault against the very fundamental laws of reality.

This is now where things will have to enter supposition. Everything after this is conjecture. There are three possibilities to what the current Unreal State is.

The first is this, there is a pocket of space in what was once a Progress Cult controlled system once was. The Unreal State as much as it exists exists there, in space that no longer follows the same rules, if any, as the rest of reality if the space follows any rules at all. The Unreal State has managed to create a rupture in reality that in a system whose name can no longer be recorded on any form of media, believe me experts in the field of memetic hazardous storage have tried. Now that we have established that Unreal State now lies entirely within this rupture and potentially other ruptures comes the questions of those people who claim to be from the Unreal State. Those individuals we met claiming to be Citizens of the Land That Isn't and are displaying high levels of universal dissociation are from this Unreality and seek to spread its dissolution of reality with a fever that rivals adherents of the Green Orthodox Bible. Attempts to enter these gaping holes in reality, which now include what once was Mercury of the Sol System, more or less than resounding failures with to this dates no contact being able to be established or return trips emerging.

The second is this there is a pocket of space in what was once a Progress Cult controlled system once was. The second possible explanation is that these ruptures in space time are actually more akin wormholes, portals to a place we do not yet understand where only those who have spent long periods exposed to the Unreal State can survive, or those become citizens there. We have heard reports from surviving Citizens that have return that the state is engaged now and not just the war against the very fabric of reality but against those that maintain it and those beyond the veil. They claim knowledge of Cthulhiods, named after the Old Earthen Occultist’s Erotic Creation’s writing, and other creatures of the firmament such as Angels of Vangel. These citizens that they alone of humanity take the war for liberation to new fronts, they fulfill the work in words promised by humanity for years before. Whoever is part of this work they have emerged to changed, part of the universal disassociation is that in parlance some of you might laugh at they seem to clip through objects that were steady as possible they no longer react in the right ways on a physiochemical level to external interactions. Most worrisome part of this is that this does not seem to be isolated and is capable of spreading it is how Mercury once a famed center of medical research was dissolved and in the place where it once rotated now is a gaping Mall visible through the solar system at all times. It has made Earth's first colony Venus, turn itself into a fortificated world and reinforce the paranoia in isolation of the Martian gardeners. That of the four cradle worlds of mankind, on has been lost already, is a portent of doom.

The third is this there is a pocket of space in what was once a Progress Cult controlled system once was. This one is the most comforting one to me, all individuals claiming to be from the Unreal State are charlatans and delusional. The Unreal State does not in any form exist and it is merely a galactic Boogeyman. That all previous suppositions can be simply explained away through a clever trick of the hand and a heavy heavy dose of ignorance. This however is the least likely.

The one confirmed fragment I have found consistent is this.

"In the Unreal State, the whole of the law is this: There shall be no Law, neither against murder nor that yoke of gravity, and to oppose all other laws shall be your duty."

Even speaking of the Unreal State is fraught with the fact almost nothing is confirmed there are many suppositions many ideas of things that could be known but in the end what is confirmed is a little more than dust in the wind. I hope against hope to whatever deities that there truly are if they are benevolent in this world, that the Unreal State is simply a fiction of already unstable cultists. For the consider anymore of what it's potential truths imply makes me jealous of those with cybernetic implants who may cleanse their mind.

the frustration might just kill me.

i’m in “recovery” in php and having to eat three full meals and three large snacks for a whole month has already made me gain weight FAST and i hate it beyond belief and the clothes that i loved and fit me perfectly now just highlight every ounce of fat on my body.

i have a minimum of two more months including weeks of iop and after that i have to lose all of the weight all over again before going to college.

i have to fake a recovery to ease the nerves of my loved ones but i just can’t wait to get back to my old @n@ routine and i keep daydreaming about the low cal meals i’ll eat and hours i’ll be fasting.

it’s entirely frustrating to be forced to gain back all the weight i intentionally lost in order to start running only a few miles again.

i’m good at bullshitting and lying constantly but the weight gain is making me crash out and i just have to keep reminding myself once im OUT of the program i can go right back to my old ways.

i hate recovery. i hate hate hate recovery.

there’s benefits like not going to school and some of the therapy is pretty nice but i hate eating every two hours and feeling full and bloated all the time is taking a bigger toll on my mental health than the actual eating disorder.

"Sector PHP"

•Sector PHP has a treehouse located in one of Philippines' tropical islands where it's close to a city and the beach as well, Their treehouse is structured to have a recurring theme of their country but still equipted with advance 2x4 technology.

•This sector's role in the KND is more so being suppliers on materials and informations they find on earth then send back to Moonbase.

•They go on battle type missions only every so often yet have way too many weapons and 'unfinished materials' in their hands considering their situationship. In which, they send their unneeded or unfinished blueprint ideas to Moonbase to be looked on by the Supreme Leader or 2x4-technology Officers and let them have their own ways on what to do with these said weaponry.

•This sector is more likely to roam around the world to visit other sector's countries, Especially Sector V. Sector PHP only has a more mutual connection with Sector V reason being that they used to be in the same Cadet training also being the first ones open to foreign exchange programs. Sector PHP visits only on occasion but a few members are actually living in the same country for their data research collection and they would go back to visit the Philippines once more to compile their findings.
